The data centre is the foundation of UMICS and it needs to be robust, scalable and expandable for emerging technologies and future demand of the R&D Centre to handle high volume of data. Due to growing data volumes involved in research and the need for speedy analysis to deliver the needed performance for research progress and investigative success, it will require an infrastructure able to process the large volumes of data so that high-throughput computational workflows can be sustained to quicken the pace of research.

Landston Property will work together with Tokyo Institute of Technology to equip this data centre with High Performance Computing power to enable data-intensive activity and bring one of the best Supercomputers in Japan to our shores.
